| To Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 18/ET.21.8.41. HEAT IN REAR SEAT - B.V. 1021. Here is a copy of a report by Whyman on the complaint regarding the heat in the rear seat of the Bentley V. {VIENNA} On experimental cars, exhaust systems are almost always "tailored" to the particular chassis, because this component is usually the last one to reach finality. I do not think we shall have any difficulty in avoiding this trouble in production, by making exhaust pipes to templates and providing a heat shield. Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Encl.
