(1) RE THIRD MODEL.

Re Conference of Sales Dept. representatives to be held on Friday afternoon:-

The Works Committee think it is impossible to give a price for a 10/15.HP. two-seater R.R. chassis at this moment. We have considered all the memoranda from Mr.Royce and we are of the opinion that labour costs, material costs, and establishment charges are going to fall during the next few months. There are indications that cost of living is coming down and there are certainly indications that cost of labour, cost of material and establishment charges are going to be less.

We are therefore of the opinion that it would be better that Mr.Royce be given a free hand to produce any models that he considers wise experimentally, the Works Committee realising that eventually out of some of these models we shall find sufficient work to keep the whole of the factory employed.

For the moment we think that until prices and conditions are more stabilised, price should be in abeyance, and that all our time should be put in preparing suitable models for selection later.
