re - Mr.Bernard Hopps.

I think perhaps you will be interested to read a copy of the letter he has written about his trial on 20-G4.

He is, as you will see, not so easy as we thought to sell a new car to.

I suppose we can look upon 20-G4 as a rather excellent example of the latest type of 25 h.p., in which case, and in view of the extra power which the engine is supposed to possess, I wonder if you can tell me how it is that his own car is faster in acceleration in the way which he indicates on both third and top gears. Has there been any alteration to the gear ratios with the introduction of the higher power output from the engine ?

I would be glad to have your remarks on his various criticisms, because in some respects it would appear that according to him our new car is not as good as the present type.

Quite naturally I should like to be able to write him on his criticisms, but will only acknowledge his letter until I hear from you.

Yesterday I received from BY an acceleration curve of the latest 25 h.p. s/m chassis. Can you please obtain and send me with your reply an acceleration curve of the 20/25 h.p. chassis just prior to the type having the s/m gearbox and more power, as I would like to be able to make a comparison of the two.
