Dear Sirs,

ATTENTION OF MR.HIVES

In reply to your letter of the 24th inst. regarding proposed S.U. Carburetter for the Kestrel(Aero Engine) Six engine, we have now had an opportunity of going carefully into this job and find the layout will come out considerably better than we at first supposed. We therefore have pleasure in quoting you as follows:-

Cost of Patterns ... ... £26.

Cost of one bottom half carburetter, plus the necessary castings for our oil heated throttles ... £45.

The cost of the drawing office work for the initial carburetter we are prepared to bear ourselves, in view of the arrangement that should the carburetter work satisfactorily, you will place us in such a position that we should supply the functional parts of the carburetter, to the exclusion of such parts that are included in your blower casing.

We trust the above figures are to your satisfaction, and await your official instructions to proceed with the main design.

Thanking you in anticipation, we are

Yours faithfully,
For THE S.U.CO.
