S/W. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Copy to LA.{L. A. Archer} (text is struck through) LE2/C/15.10.36. GRY.{Shadwell Grylls}? (handwritten) Re Bentley Front Tyre Pressures. In Depot Sheet No. Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}310 and based on information received from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}17/KW18.9.36., I note it is recommended that we should have the tyre pressures on Bentleys at 30 lbs. Actually we find that when running Bentleys, particularly in London, with 30 lbs. pressure, the steering is distinctly heavier and also we have had a case where there was a definite inclination of tramping. This was considerably improved by increasing the tyre pressures to 35 lbs. Perhaps you would like to look further into this and let me have your remarks. The latest Instruction Book still recommends that the tyre pressures should be 35 lbs. J.L.E. (handwritten signature) | ||
