Sidgreaves - MD} WELL-BASE RIMS AND TYRES. I attach a copy of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/ZG9.2.26. Under the circumstances it is advisable that we should now inform customers that we are not sufficiently satisfied with the well base rim and tyres to be in a position to undertake to fit them. Our tests are at present incomplete and the tests we have made so far would not warrant our undertaking to fit them. C.J. is of opinion that nothing which increases the risk of high speed wobbles should be introduced on R.R. cars, but in discussing these tyres with customers we should not refer to wobbles. B.J. | ||
