Referring to your Br.4/LS.3.6.37 we would mention that a standardisation sheet for RR.Sch.1015 has just been issued- this has the junction boxes moved onto the bonnet rest plates where they are readily accessible.

With regard to the question of noisy fan bearings due to lack of lubrication, we are checking up on the packing of these bearings with grease at the Works here, but we think that the present arrangement is satisfactory providing the bearings are repacked with grease after every 15,000 -,20,000 miles running, this could be done when the car is in for any other work.

We are also looking into the question of obtaining grease with a higher melting point so that there is less likelihood of leakage taking place.
