On going into the matter thus deeply we find that although we have had a combined Midgley unit (we have never had a Midgley dynamo) and we have previously made some rough tests on this, we are not sufficiently familiar with the actual working of the Midgley unit in the light of our new experiences, and we have considered that it may be worth while to make some further experiments on the Midgley for the purpose of being able to state the advantages of our own system more explicitly.
