Re. Telecontrol Shock Absorbers.

To fit the Hydraulic control shock absorbers to 102-MY. or to any car previous to 126 in 'O'2 Series means fitting a new set of shock absorbers complete, a new gearbox casing which has the necessary facing to carry a controlling unit, it means lifting the body, changing the position of the side brake lever to clear the control. All these things have been done on Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s. car. We recommend that Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s. car is sent to Derby early next week and we can then let them have it back by the end of the week with the controls connected up. The car can then be tried against the Trials cars which have the Telecontrol so as to obtain a relative value.

The actual endurance testing of the shock absorbers and controls is being carried out at the present time. We have a car which is running every day fitted with this scheme.

The point where we would like help from Sales is deciding on the range of setting for the control. This is always a matter of compromise but we think with the comparatively short runs on Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s. car this point could be settled.
