Copy to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} goo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH.3/SW. 10th February, 1941. British Filters, Ltd., Aircraft House, Market Harborough. For the attention of T.C.Worth, Esq. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter ref.; TCW/DG. of the 31st ult., regarding the fitting of a general filter to the Bentley Chassis together with the enclosed drawing of EB.246. We find upon investigation that your installation drawing is not in accordance with our intentions. We are sending you herewith a print of PL.158 showing the inlet and outlet pipe lines. The standard fittings as you suggest, may be used to expedite this job. We regret that the inlet pipe line shown on your drawing was taken from our scheme SCD.1000. This scheme proved unsatisfactory insomuch that the pressure gauge was giving us a ficticious reading. We find that a small dia. pipe is essential on the feed side of the filter with such an arrangement as we are intending to fit. The outlet pipe line shown on your drawing appears to be quite satisfactory. Assuring you of our best attention, Yours faithfully, Enc. PL.158. | ||
