Your Ref: HCM/CM.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. H.C. Mills.

We beg to thank you for your letter of the 1st inst. regarding Governor Carburetters.

The position is that we are interested in the question of maximum speed control, and your device seems to us to be a very promising one. We take it that it is fully covered by patents, so that if we found it suitable for our purpose we could incorporate it in our carburetters, paying you a royalty.

If you would agree to lending us a 46 m.m. vertical Governor Carburetter for examination and test, on this understanding, we should be very obliged.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
