DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. BY/HBD. X.7470 BY7/G.111.28. We notice on N. Sch. 2750 that the diameter of the stem for the foot pedal has been reduced from .5 to .4375. We are already making these pieces in nickel steel, but owing to having to braze the stem into the pedal lever boss, the condition of the material when in operation is only that of fully annealing, therefore the brinell cannot be considered to be high, a little over 200. I am inclined to think that this is a mistake, but we shall of course issue it as instructed. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Signature] | ||
