Referring to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M3.11.28. and further to BY7/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 1.11.28. we note that you are bringing the SS.{S. Smith} chassis into line with the 20 HP. chassis, and the fact that this has stood up should justify you in this course. I had overlooked the fact that the 20 HP. had been kept at .4375" diameter when I altered the material. Apparently the bending moment due to the curvature will not be much greater on the SS.{S. Smith} chassis than on the old type 20 HP.
