Summary of standardisation actions and findings following a vehicle run in France.

Red sent 3.B.IV. 200a 11.6.37. As a result of the run in France Standardisation sheets have been issued for:- (1) A.C.2 main bearings. (2) Midland Cylinder Iron Cylinder block. (3) Shorter pendulum lever to reduce steering effort. (4) Swedish wire valve springs. (5) Improved lubrication of rear brake camshafts. Information has been obtained about:- (1) Chromidium brake drums. (2) Gordon Armstrong Shock Dampers. (3) Lubrication of propeller shaft sliding joint by oil instead of grease. Parts that cannot be standardised owing to trouble:- (1) Improved lubrication of axle pinion. (2) Semi-isolated change speed. (3) Large sized tyres and wide rims (too noisy). A sheet will shortly be issued for:- (1) Fixed grille radiator shutters. ----------------- | ||
