Herewith please receive two faulty Lucas dynamos, particulars of which are as follows :- 1) No.1833, taken off chassis No. 22-EE. After being delivered to customer, the dynamo failed and we had to send a man to replace same. We find there is a dead short on the armature which must have developed after its final test at the works. Will you please arrange to take this up with the makers and get it replaced, also decide to whom the expense of replacing this shall be charged. Please instruct the Stores to replace same from stock so that we can keep our stock of dynamos for cars on test square. 2) Lucas Dynamo 2803. This failed to pass our routine test and we find that the shunt winding has broken down. Please instruct for this to be replaced so as to keep our stock correct. EP{G.
