| To Sr. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} X 212 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}7/KW.29.8.35. Bentley Clutch. Sr.1/Crn.27.8.35. The original Bentley clutch was exactly the same as the 20/25 except that the flywheel had less inertia. The fabric was therefore on the driving members and this type of clutch does not stand up long against ill-treatment. On the first chassis in 'E' series a new clutch and flywheel were fitted, in which the fabric is on the driven member. The life of this, both during destruction tests and on the road, has proved to be far superior to the original clutch. We should be glad to hear from you whether any of the complaints you have are cars in which this new clutch is fitted. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
