For the attention of F.O.Hickling, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

In connection with the 25/30 HP. steering rollers whichyou are going to grind for us, our Mr.Grylls has told the writer that you agree to grind the bore and the end faces. Accordingly, we have asked our suppliers to leave these surfaces unground and with 0.008" grinding allowance.

We enclose prints of our drawings reference F.61281/2/3/4/5/6 which have been prepared in accordance with your scheme and which we hope will give you all the information you require.

As soon as we receive the parts from our suppliers we will forward them to you together with an official order.

In our letter of 15th July to your Mr.O.G.H.Richardson we mentioned that we should require you to adjust the length of the distance piece F.61286 to give a set up load corresponding to 2-3 lbs.ins. torque on the roller. Will you please let us know whether you consider this a satisfactory figure.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
