28th. January, 1939.

Messrs. Hew Hudson Ltd.,
Icknield Street.,
Birmingham.18.

For the attention of Mr. Fraser.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of the 27th. inst. we note that you propose to use a 2" wide shoe.

We have plenty of our standard lining undrilled. This we will fit to your shoes, and so retain our 12¼" dia. drum.

Your standard lining is 3/16" thick ours 5/16" thick, hence the extra ¼" on drum dia.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
