104-MY.

We sent this car back to you yesterday having carried out the following work on it -

(1) New type exhaust carburetter hot spot bend to prevent spitting noise at low speed full throttle pick up.
(2) New type sliding joint to exhaust system to Ex.14363.
(3) Cross steering tube poundage slightly increased.

With regard to the larger tank, we were unable to fit this because it meant getting a new gauge head from the manufacturers which they could not promise by return. As soon as the parts are ready we will send for the car and fit them.

We also hope to be able to fit the Halford type silent tappets which we have at present running on the Vulture.

The car was very useful to us at Derby as indicating to us how the Marles steering compared with our latest Phantom steering.
