British Filters 1189 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/LT.20.9.41. Copy to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} Some time ago, we had a memo from Sales with regard to the fitting of a General Oil Filter to B.155.LE. At the time, we were unable to help, owing to no design having been got out that was suitable for the car. The designs have now been completed, and stocks of the necessary pipes, unions and fitting pieces are available. To ensure that the installation is satisfactory, we have fitted it to Blb.'s 4 1/4 litre Bentley and attach a photograph of the installation. Filters can be obtained from Mr. T.C. Worth, of British Filters, Aircraft House, Market Harborough. You will recollect there is a Depot Sheet recommending that these filters should be fitted to prolong the life of aluminium tin bearings in the Bentleys. Such a procedure seems to be more than ever desirable under war time conditions. 5 sets of fitting kits have been despatched to you today. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
