The following are properties of two samples of oil recently submitted by you in test tubes: (a) Chassis 1. B.50. Total oil mileage = 16,741. 1 Element only. Insoluble in Pet. Ether 0.19% ditto but Sol. in benzol 0.05% Washing: Very small particles of metal visible but in small numbers. (b) Chassis 12.B.V. Total oil mileage = 25,795 5th Element now fitted Insoluble in Pet. Ether 0.4% ditto. but Sol. in benzol 0.03% Washing: As sample (a) but with even fewer metallic particles.
