Dear Sir, We are making some researches into the reliability of belt drive for dynamo and combined water pump and fan and would be extremely grateful if you could give us some information bearing on this question. What we would like to know, is how many cases of breakdown have you on record in which it has been impossible to drive the car home because belt breakage has put the water pump out of action ? If you could give us this figure for a complete year (and also as a percentage of total breakdowns reported if possible) we would much appreciate this service. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
