PL.445 - Pedals, Brake & Clutch.

We attach to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH's copy the original of the above scheme shows the design of the pedals for the Myth chassis. The brake pedal is 10.6" from the centre line of the chassis and not 11.5" as originally projected on PL.307, due to the fact that the pedal in the downward position would foul the frame.

The brakes are Lockheed operation, both front and rear, the brake pedal operating directly onto the Tandem master cylinder, drawing No.PR.646., the pedal ratio to the master cylinder being 5½ : 1.

The clutch mechanism has the swinging arm operation similar to the Senior Range, and as the Myth clutch is only 7¼" in dia. and the trunnion load 132 lbs., we have lightened the clutch lever accordingly.

We are going ahead with the design of the clutch actuation, which will be finished in the course of a few days.
