For the Attention of Mr. F.G. Parnell.

Dear Sirs,

As arranged some time ago, I am sending you with this letter prints of our schemes showing the master cylinder and the handbrake operation for the Myth brakes. PL.445 shows the master cylinder position and operation, and you will note that as compared with your drawing PR.646, we have handed this piece, i.e. changed the mounting and outlet for front brakes over to the opposite sides. From your previous drawing of the 1" tandem master cylinder that we had, I gathered that it was quite normal for you to supply master cylinders of either hand and we have therefore acted on the assumption that this will be all right.

We have also lengthened the push rod from the master cylinder piston to the ball joint that accommodates the angular movement of the pedal. You may remember that we discussed this some time ago and you then saw no objection to our doing this.

PL.439 shows the rod linkage for the handbrake on the rear axle, with the connection to the idler on the frame. Actually, we have not altered your parts at all in doing this, though you may be interested in our arrangement of fork to pick up your lever on the bisector, the clearance in the jaws being such that the fork cannot jump off the lever. This drawing also shows you the angle at which the brake cylinders are arranged in order to give us the transverse rod position that we want.

We shall be sending you in due course our detail drawing of the master cylinder covering the points mentioned above, but in the meantime, the scheme drawing is sent for your information.

Yours faithfully,
