[Handwritten]: γ 728 Expl. Dept. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}12/MJ. 15th. February, 1934. F.B.Halford Esq., 8 & 9, Golden Square, LONDON.W.1. My dear Halford, We are hoping soon to be able to ask you to come up to Derby and go out on a car fitted with automatic tappets similar to your design. We have been quietly pursuing this matter and are satisfied with the results we have obtained on a single [2 is struck out] cyl. unit. We are now fitting up a complete car. I believe it has been arranged that we should visit D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Napier & Sons Ltd., sometime next week. I do not know whether this will interest you, but if you happen to be about we should be very glad to have a talk. Yours faithfully, For Rolls-Royce Ltd. | ||
