X728 Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. BY/NW.{N. Walker - Patents} BY.1/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 30.1.34. RE: PATENT IN HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s. NAME FOR INTRODUCING AN INCREASE OF DAMPING AT THE TIME THE BRAKES ARE FULLY APPLIED. -------------------------------- Mr. Walker discussed this scheme with Mr. Champneys on Friday last, pointing out the importance of it, but they were unable to go ahead with it until we supplied them with a scheme covering the method of putting it into operation, as without such a scheme it is not possible to obtain a provisional, in other words we must describe in the provisional how the scheme is being carried out. We are working on this job at the moment, Mr. Walker having got the job in hand, and the scheme is partly developed. The scheme will be re-submitted before the end of the week. (BY) BY.{R.W.
