Up to the present, the following diametrical clearance have given satisfactory results with the W/M main and big end bearings. (1) Main bearings to have a diametrical clearance on the crankshaft of .00225 +1/2 Existing drawing limits allows for a clearance of .0005 +2 (2) Plain rod big end bearings to have a diametrical clearance of .0015 +1/2 Existing drawing limits allows for a clearance of .0015 +1/2 (3) Forked rod big end bearing to have a diametrical clearance on the crankpins of .002 +1/2 Existing drawing limits allows for a clearance of .001 +1 The details of the bearings, crankshaft and plain rod should come within the above limits.
