We have now received the standardisation sheet for the latest type of piston which includes the two extra rings at the top. We have received the completed standardisation sheet under cover of Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/AT23.4.20 - the standardisation sheet itself being dated 14.4.20, the experimental number being X.375la.{L. A. Archer} We attach the sheet in question for you to note and return. Kindly instruct this change as soon as possible, but we should make it clear to the Works that they carry on with the present scheme until special piston rings introduced by the change at the extreme top of the piston are available.
