We also consider that the battery make and break mechanism is not giving satisfaction owing to the [handwritten addition: oil vapour] pressure etc. which is forced into the make and break box, causing the platinum points to become [typed word 'fouled' is crossed out and handwritten word 'dirty' is added]. Is it not possible for some ventilation scheme to be arranged for this make and break box? This point has already been brought to EFC's attention on various occasions.

We feel that the power and general running of the engine, especially at slow running flexibility, is considerably influenced by the leakage past the pistons. Carburation is also unsatisfactory.
