6153 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}1/JH. 11th. February, 1939. Erie Resistor Ltd., Carlisle Road, The Hyde, LONDON.N.W.9. For the attention of Mr. J.E.Bennett. Dear Sirs, We thank you for putting us in touch with Mr. J.V.Fole of Muirhead & Co.Ltd., from whom, we have received some samples of filling compound. We are sending under separate cover, an order for 2 dozen S.5 type suppressors. These are for inserting in the high tension lead between distributor and coil, and should have a resistance of 15,000 ohms. We are very interested in the application of the Erie strain element, especially in respect to the measurement of load variations, and vibration, and would much appreciate any information on the subject. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
