-2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.S/WH.3.12.37. The water outlet (EB.620) is then fitted to the casing (EB.619) and the complete unit is ready for fitting to the car. We do not anticipate any need to check individually the opening of these thermostats - we shall check the running temperature of the first 'A' series chassis on test and will only require opening temperatures checking if any marked variation is observed. Will RRC. please arrange to forward to The British Thermostat Co. Ltd. a master unit consisting of a casing EB.619 fitted with guide EB.622 and studs E.8477, a valve EB.680, a valve nut EB.681, a cover plate EB.621, a brass packing washer of same dimensions as the Klingerite joint washer EB.674, and a brass washer of same dimensions as EB.691 washer - this assembly will be used for setting the thermostat units (EB.3509) before they leave the factory - the machined dimensions therefore should be exactly as shown on drawing, i.e. without any limits allowed. For each thermostat unit it will be necessary to supply to the makers one valve stem EB.3508, one valve EB.3507 and one nut EB.669 and one pin EB.18658 for assembling into the bellows unit.
