- 4 - Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG8.7.24. by the serrations. Care should be taken to see that these serrations are properly in mesh after adjustment has been made and before the clearance is checked. Another check for the correct clearance is the gap be-tween the square sides of the cams when the pedal is depressed. It should be possible to insert a .025" feeler in this gap. A test for any slack is to try and rotate the servo backwards and forwards by means of the stop. The pedal should return easily to its stop against the cross member - or be slightly off. If it will not come right back it is probable that it is caused by the front pull ropes being slightly too short. In this case do not start to alter the lengths of the operating rods but see to what extent the front brake pull levers are off their stops. It is permis-sible to have these as much as 1/32" off their stops but this figure must not be exceeded. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
