3.30 X4117. S/W Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C5/C16.10.30 Re 137-XJ...The Hon.Chas Winn. You have informed us from time to time that when we have a persistently bad case of any particular trouble on a car in a customer's hands, you would like to know of it, as you find difficulty in being able to reproduce such troubles. I enclose herewith report on 137-XJ of persistent steering wobbles and generally unpleasant steering over a lengthy period. You will note we have made two or three attempts to put it right. At the moment the car is at Cricklewood and PN.{Mr Northey} is attending to it in conjunction with Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager}, and I understand that Mr.Hancock is also helping. I also enclose PN{Mr Northey}'s report upon his latest test of the car. Will you please let me know what you would like to do about this car whilst we have it. You will note we only have it for a few days. It is evidently something out of the ordinary that you would no doubt like to investigate. C.
