S/W X4117. To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Bernard Hopps. GLR-50. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}20/E11.10.30 Thanks for Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/AD7.11.30. Before taking any action, however, I should be glad if you could explain the second paragraph of your memo. wherein you say that this car is fitted with standard springs and excessive damping and that you believe better all-round results could be achieved by fitting special springs and less severe damping. We thought that the ordinary 20 suffered from insufficient damping and that with special springs as on 26-EX extra and certainly not less severe damping was necessary. Sg.{Arthur F.
