[Handwritten top]: RWG x 5260 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} NHC. [Handwritten]: G.W.H. see me Petrol Tank Air Vents 20/25 HP and 40/50. [Handwritten]: HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} We are anxious to clear the position up finally as soon as possible. As there are two cars commencing 10,000 miles tests we have a good opportunity of doing so. 28-EX has the provisional scheme of vent fitted to F.86074, the 10,000 miles test on this will clear this scheme for both chassis. As this scheme is unnecessarily costly and complicated we are anxious to supersede it as soon as possible with RR. Sch.639. We should like this scheme fitted to 21-G-IV for 10,000 miles test. Will you please make an effort to get this detailed and instructed as early as possible. E/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey} | ||
