The following blue prints are enclosed:-

14910 Complete fuel system diagram.
14750 Distant fuel pump general arrangement
14752 Simple illustrative diagram.
14751 Automatic air valve for controlling distant fuel pump.

To repeat: The general idea of the scheme is that the actual fuel pump is placed in or adjacent to the tank, and operated by air pressure derived from an engine driven air compressor. By this means the fuel can always be kept under pressure, and the formation of gas and air locks obviated.

A valve operated by the pressure of petrol immediately before the carburetter is used to control the air inlet of the air compressor, so that the actual pump only works in accordance with the engine demands; in fact it is possible to shut the petrol supply from the carburetter completely off, and the air valve by indirectly stopping the petrol pump will even under these severe conditions prevent the carburetter flooding.

Among the advantages to be derived is the fact that the difficulties found when using very volatile fuels especially at high altitudes or high temperatures at low altitudes do not exist, because they are never subjected to low pressures.
