Preliminary report.
On the occasion of my visit to the Lucas factory at Birmingham I had the opportunity of witnessing the various stages in the manufacture and production of Lucas magnetos.
Assiduous care is taken in the production of each component part, the castings being machined to fine limits, and the armatures thoroughly tested before assembly.
The magnets which we have in the lab is well finished off and represents a substantial clean design, the main features being:
