Messrs. Kelsey Hayes Wheel Co., Ltd.,
Dagenham Dock,
Essex.

For the Attention of Mr.Inglis,
Chief Engineer.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 14th of this month concerning a set of wheels.

We do not feel justified under present conditions in laying out £300.0.0., and we think that our present needs could be met by 16" x 3.5" wheels with the "hat" projecting further out from the rim. This could be done by drilling the rim rivet holes off centre and the "hat" rivet holes nearer the edge.

We would like you to make us a set of 5 wheels like this.

As requested, we are enclosing a copy of our drawing No.CB.4026.

We thank you for your drawing showing the section through the reinforcements.

Yours faithfully,

Enclosure:
