A.{Mr Adams} Smith Esq.,
Manager,
The Ford Motor Co.Ltd.,
Dagenham,
Essex.

Dear Mr. Smith,

We are interested in the construction of the Ford V.8 rear axle.

Some little time ago you will remember that you were good enough to loan us one of these axles which we were able to examine closely. We have gone into the matter further and are now particularly anxious to learn all we can about the methods used in producing this axle and the cost thereof.

We do not know whether such information is available at Dagenham, but if so we should be much indebted to you if you would permit one of our representatives to come down to your factory and discuss the matter with the people concerned.

Yours sincerely,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
