contd :- -2- The luggage box on 18-EX is really an essential part of the car - the whole appearance would be spoilt without it, therefore we see no reason why it should not be built as part of the body. If a space is left behind the box it collects dirt, or the box rubs the paint-work. If it is found necessary that the wheel must be removed to get at the luggage, we should still prefer this scheme, as the times when luggage is carried is infrequent. We recommend that we take one of the longer cars and actually fit a luggage box into the back panel so that we can definitely assure ourselves what space is available and what the appearance is likely to be.
