| Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} 406. BY.15/G.29.6.39. REAR BRAKE EQUALISER. B.V. Referring to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}7/MH.{M. Huckerby}27.6.39. as we have used the joint in question in a number of places from clutch operation to rear brake equalisers, and therefore have a right of use for the joint, even in connection with the rear brake equaliser, I do not think there is anything to be gained by attempting to take a patent out covering this combination. In addition, it is very doubtful that we could get any adequate claim, my own view veing that it would have to be considered it required inventive capacity to apply this type of joint to another type of equaliser.
