It has been arranged that Sales Officials shall ride in the SS.{S. Smith} car 18-EX whilst you are carrying out the test. It is not expected that they will in any way interfere with your schedule of running or drive the car until you have completed 9000 miles. At the completion of 9000 miles the car will be handed over to CWB. or PN.{Mr Northey} and they will take the entire responsibility for it. You will not be asked to supply a driver. Your men will then be transferred on to 20 HP. car to complete the schedule of running arranged for that car. It is expected that JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} will arrive on the evening of the 28th., EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} will arrive on the 30th. and CWB. on the 1st. Jan. The car will be returned to you after Sales have completed their tests. The examination of the car will be carried out by you at Chateauroux, and if it is satisfactory, it will then be delivered by you to R.{Sir Henry Royce} at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence.
