To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from AJS. c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (X5500) AJS1/M6. 5. 26. 20 HP. MODIFICATIONS TO DECREASE HEIGHT OF FLOORBOARDS. X.5500 X.5310 With reference to BY/C4/H24.4.26., dealing with the above subject, in which it was pointed out that among other expenses incurred in connection with the experimental set of parts entailed in these modifications a new gearbox pattern would be required, R.{Sir Henry Royce} agrees to the modifications and to making of a new pattern as we consider that by the time this experiment reaches production the existing pattern in use will be nearing the worn out stage. In view of this will you please instruct a set of these parts as shewn on LeC.2205, incorporating in the first instance the alternative scheme on the bottom R.H. corner of this drawing. AJS. | ||
