EXTRACT FROM R4/W29616 of JUNE 29th, 1916.

RE EXPERIMENTAL CHASSIS - X.2273.

RE X.719 - Brake - Ferodo Lining.

"Regarding your memo of the 28th, inst., re experimental chassis, we have just received permission to work on these two chassis, and it would be useful if you made a list of parts that you have ready to erect, and a list of drawings of general arrangements so far as the chassis has been completed.

I should be pleased if you will send this list with a copy of the drawings here as soon as convenient.

My impression is that the work stands in the condition of the following list:-

PARTS. NORTHCLIFFE. WILLIAMSON.
Back Axle At present not designed.
Brakes. Intended to be double side by side, having aluminium straps, ferodo linings and drums with radiating fins. Do.

R.{Sir Henry Royce}
