ATTENTION OF MR. C.H.BROOKS.

Dear Sirs,

Further to our letter reference Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}1/JMS., dated 9.5.40.

We can do the special grinding on the three sizes of split skirt piston you are preparing. Will you, therefore, please supply these, finished up to that stage. Please note that the split should be left so that it does not quite run out at the bottom of the skirt.

It will help us if you can give a tentative date for delivery of the complete batch of 40 pistons. We would like them all at once, so that the works can do the grinding at one set up.

In going over the previous correspondence on this subject, we found we had made a mistake and that the order should take over the extra 24 pistons. Whereas we had asked you to prepare 64 pistons, our official order only caters for 40 pistons.

pistons. We are therefore sending you a further order to cover the extra 24 pistons
