Proposal outlining cost reductions for the production of a Bentley car.

-3- (9) The reduction in cost would come about by :- (a) Leaving off the magneto and drive. (b) Cheaper road wheels and hubs (which will also give a different appearance) (c) Cheaper road springs. (d) Leaving off central lubrication. (e) S.U. carburetter. (f) Bought-out electrical equipment and instrument boards. (g) Use bought-out shock absorbers. - and other items. We feel therefore that the proposal outlined above is the only way to produce a Bentley car in reasonable time, to expect to get the design for a new car when already the R.R. cars have been waiting years for obvious improvement is hopeless.
