To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X-391 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG15.4.26. MICHELIN JACKS. We find that the Michelin jack - type 'Forest' can be used quite satisfactorily to replace their jack - type 'Flirt'. The 'Forest' type jack which we were supplied with also had a new type of handle which has a crank in it. We cannot use this handle on the rear of the car. The jack should therefore be supplied with a standard type of handle. If these are unobtainable it will be necessary to make the new handles considerably longer but as this will make them difficult to stow away, we recommend, if possible, sticking to the old type of handle.
