re. 20-HP. Chassis Clutch Failure.

A customer has raised the point that after using his clutch rather vigourously he found that the clutch actually stuck in, and would not engage until it had cooled down.

We find that this can be done with the clutches on any 20-HP car, i.e. customers car, production cars, or even Experimental cars (9-G-3) so long as the clutch is used sufficiently vigourously to get so hot as to start slipping.

In discussing this matter with you on Saturday morning, you did not agree with it, and stated the clutches should not behave in this manner, no matter how roughly they were used, even although they got to the slipping stage, they should not stick in.

I am anxious to settle this matter and if it is a question of faulty manufacture to take this up definitely with the Works.

I shall be glad, therefore, if you will let me know exactly what is done to overcome the trouble on 9-G-3.
