To HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} X5300 R10/H10.6.28. Copy - BJ. " - WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " - BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} " - DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} re 20HP. UNDERSHIELD. - X.5290. It was noticed while inspecting the cars here on Tuesday last that the 20HP. undershield is still considerably below the flywheel. The blame for this rests primarily with the brake levers as re-drawn by Derby. These should be raised sufficiently so that they are definitely above the flywheel casing, so that the underguard can press on the flywheel and definitely clear the moving parts of the lever. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} does not give hardly enough clearance in the original. A flat can be put on the flywheel casing. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
