[crossed out]Dy {F R Danby} [/crossed out] [crossed out]HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [/crossed out] from Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} X1918e. Mx {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} 3/T11.5.27 RECEIVED MAY 11 PHANTOM CHASSIS - K.L.G. PLUGS I understand from Mr Matthews of the Stores this morning that he has instructions not to issue more than 50 sets of K.L.G. Plugs for use on the "Phantom" chassis. I feel it necessary to point out that we must have plugs in order to carry on with chassis testing, and I further understand there are no Lodge plugs available, and we must perforce draw on the 20-HP. stock of K.L.G. plugs to carry on with testing. We shall not until we receive definite instructions despatch more than 50 Phantom cars with K.L.G. plugs, but at the moment of writing we have 62 chassis fitted with them. In the ordinary course of things it will be 2 1/2 weeks from now before we despatch the last chassis fitted with K.L.G. plugs. Mx {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} [Signature] | ||
